Evidence From The Crime Scene
This year over 60,000 people will be murdered inside
their residence or another building. Seventy percent of
the victims will die trying to defend themselves against a
hand gun. An additional 15,000 people will decide to
shoot themselves in their bed or living rooms. Most will
succeed. In most cases property damage will result.

Someone other than law enforcement will find the body.

While it is an unpleasant subject, it is important that
property owners and managers to know how to handle
the aftermath of such incidents.

Without proper precautions, employees, residents and
others may be exposed to blood-born viruses such as
Hepatitis B-C or HIV. Therefore, clean-up of
biohazardous material requires employees or
professionals who have special training.

With the expansion of the crime scene clean-up industry
came new government regulations that govern who
can clean-up after a biohazard incident and who can
dispose of the biohazard material.
